Shipping & Returns

Delivery information

We aim to process, pick and despatch all in stock orders within 2 working days. Orders are then sent via one of our delivery services which are selected at the time of placing the order:

  • Royal Mail Delivery. Please allow between 3-5 working days for delivery. If your order is over £60 you will need to sign for the parcel.
  • DPD Express Delivery. Your order will be delivered next working day if ordered before 2pm (Mon-Fri). Please be aware you will need to sign for the parcel.

All delivery times are approximate based on mainland UK addresses and items being in stock. Please allow an extra few days in busy periods e.g. Back to School, to process your order. We do our best to get your order to you as soon as possible and as a result your order may arrive earlier.

If your parcel value exceeds £60 your delivery will be made by courier regardless of the delivery option chosen for insurance purposes. You will only be charged for your selected delivery option. The parcel will need to be signed for.

Royal Mail Delivery

If sent by Royal Mail your postman will attempt one delivery and if you are not at home, will leave you a card so that you can collect the package from your local Royal Mail Sorting Office.

Express Delivery

Our delivery company DPD will attempt delivery of your order twice. The first time they will leave you a yellow card and, if you are not at home and you respond the same day, you can arrange a re-delivery at a convenient time. If you do not respond the same day, they usually reattempt delivery the next day. Should you give us a valid mobile number DPD will contact you to give you up to date information regarding your delivery, and you may select other delivery options by responding directly. You may specify during the checkout process for a delivery to be left in a safe place, please note this is at your own risk, and Stevensons accept no liability for lost or damaged parcels in this instance.


Items purchased online may be returned within 28 days, or 14 days if sale goods, for exchange or refund providing a valid receipt is presented. This will not affect your statutory Rights. Goods can be returned to us at Lester Bowden. Postage will be at your expense, unless the return is due to a fault in our processing or a fault in the garment, in which case please ring us or email us prior to posting. International returns will be at your cost. In all cases please provide a copy of your receipt, your reason for returning the garment and your full contact details so that we can process your requests as soon as possible. If you wish to exchange the garment due to no fault of Lester Bowden we will need to charge for this additional postage back to you, which will be calculated as before on a weight and packaging basis. If there is a price difference between the garments being exchanged, we will issue a refund or contact you in order to obtain payment for the additional cost accordingly. We will only issue a refund or dispatch an alternative size once we have received the original item back to us. Lester Bowden cannot be held responsible for goods being returned until they have reached the shop. It is advised that you ask for a proof of postage for any items being returned.
